A downloadable game for Windows

You are reincarnated as a magical orb in a fantastic world. You can easily fly, walk or bounce in this new world, or you can also go to adventure and discover new things, or simply enjoy the sceneries you can see in this new world.

Jinshu is a peaceful adventure, single-player and open-world game (not much open-world to make you bored, promise!)

Please do take note that this game is still in development phrase, so feel free to test it out and comment the bugs/feature requests/ideas! I will appreciate greatly!

This game is made with Unreal Engine 5.3 and is just a hobby project.

what's the direction of this game/project? i know it's basically a a hobby and an isekai but will there be things like animals, people, creatures, maybe structures or a dungeon? also for a sentient magical orb i hope there's some way of casting spells even if you have to touch something or hit someone to cast it. like tapping water to freeze it, a heatwave projectile to evaporate it or a thunk on the head to make some random guy float.

Hello! \(≧▽≦)/

yes, there will be animals/humans in the later versions of this game! but guess what, before I add humans and animals, I will first add robots to it 🤖 (can you guess why?)

But yes, I am planning on adding creatures/animals (and humans) to this game as well (both as enemies or friends or just standing there for decorations haha) (´・ᴗ・ ` )

Dungeons? did someone just say dungeons? (҂ `з´ )

Yes! I love dungeons as well, and I am also planning to add dungeons to explore to this game as well! (even hidden ones, whether for exploring and finding expensive items, or as a part of the main story quests). Soon in later releases. Ancient dungeons where you can never predict what might happen in there.... or what can you ever find in there.. (who knows maybe characters from other universe are also there wuhahahaha jk jk👀)

I am also working on spells, there will be (two rows?) spell deck at the bottom of your screen where you can cast the spell by pressing buttons (1~10) (and if I decide to add the second row, they will be F1~F10). I still haven't decided whether to add skill tree (or spell tree?) to the game or not, because that will make it really complicated, but who knows, maybe in the future hehe

Oh... I forgot to tell that, also also

You won't only be able to cast spells... you can also go into the ancient robots scattered across the map and become their magical core energy! They are dead because they all ran out of energy (who knows why.. that is a mystery.. maybe you can find out why later in the story?🙃)... and then obviously can control them (and use special skills/spells that only they can do with them).

About freezing water, yes that sounds like a good idea too! I will definitely consider it!(✧∀✧)/

Right now, I am working on getting the most basic things/mechanism done in it. And sadly since I have university (oooooooooow lots of exams😭), and a main (programming) job, I barely get time to do what I really like (game programming hehe).. but I definitely work on it at my weekends and try to make progress in it, even if it's way too small! (small like a gopher ʕ◔ϖ◔ʔ)

I also do care about optimizations a lot! My last hobby project's source code ended up becoming 70GB 😭 (damn Unreal Engine, I will never forgive them for making it so easy to gain weight), so this time I keep checking the game total size, cache size and all other stuff and focus on keeping it as clean as possible!(◕ᴗ◕✿)

i thought unity3D used too much space. if space is a big issue i think godot is pretty tiny compared to the other two engines though it's a little weird but it does have C# support by default. it's cool you're gonna add new stuff though i hope you don't overwork yourself and personally i'd stay away from unreal. they don't even want people being able to call some a nuke in games made in their engine. it's bizzare.
